Reducing Your Coffee Intake with a Single Serve Coffee Maker
Sometimes, it really makes sense to pare things down and simplify your life. While we'd all like to believe that
we're not wasteful, the simple fact of the matter is that most of us buy a lot more food than we actually need.
Coffee, of course, is no exception. What I've noticed over the years is that people make a whole pot of coffee
regardless of how much they're going to drink. You just get used to it, I suppose: brewing the same amount of
coffee each and every morning. Really, though, it's easy enough to cut back. All that you have to do is buy
yourself a single serve coffee maker.
Of course, the biggest advantage to getting yourself a single serve coffee maker is that you're not going to
have to worry about brewing too much coffee in the morning. Typically speaking, these smaller coffee makers are
only going to hold up to four 6 oz. cups of coffee at a time. They're also smaller in appearance, which serves as a
perfectly suitable reminder that you're trying to cut down on your coffee expenses. Looking at that tiny thing,
you'll remember that you have a goal for yourself.
While four 6 oz. cups of coffee may not seem like enough at first, you'll find that your body is perfectly
willing to adjust to a lower caffeine intake. Typically speaking, you're only going to feel tired for two or three
days. Before you even know it, your body will adjust to your new diet, and you won't have to deal with any of that
lethargy anymore. Two cups of coffee will provide you with the energy of four or five now that you've lowered your
intake.
It's also nice that single serve coffee makers come with all of the same features that you've grown to know and
love. Timers are available in smaller coffee makers, meaning that you can set your coffee to start brewing as
you're waking up. Many of the miniature coffee makers are also going to come in with built in coffee grinders as
well. Now that you're not drinking as much coffee, you can truly afford to spoil yourself with the nice stuff.
At the end of the day, you're going to find that your single serve coffee maker is more than enough. Sure,
you're not going to be drinking six cups of coffee in the morning; really, though, that's a good thing. You'll feel
a lot better when you're less dependant on caffeine, and you won't have to worry about wasting a ton of the coffee
that you're brewing. You may even find yourself switching over to decaf coffee when you've rid yourself of your
dependency.
